The Artworks in Elephant and Castle is a growing community with exciting hangouts emerging. We headed to one of the popular residents at The Artworks Six Yard Box Football and Craft Beer Bar to see why it’s becoming one of London’s top hangouts.

Six Yard Box Football and Craft Beer Bar is located in a shipping container, the walls lined with 70s memorabilia whilst the low ceiling houses the UK’s largest collection of Panini stickers. It’s known as the ‘Best Football Bar’ in London according to some of their regulars – I’m sure you can understand why with live sport streamed on their TV screens, including one situated outdoors, so you can bet that with a bit of good weather there will be plenty of locals sitting outside with a craft beer in hand.
Speaking of beer, Six Yard Box have a great selection of London Craft beers on tap including Beavertown Gamma Ray, The Kernal Pale Ale and Kona Big Wave to name a few.
The founders are true football fans so you can expect them to screen everything from Premier League games to a League One match! If you’re looking for somewhere that you can rely on having Champions League, Premier League, the Football League, Conference, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, Eredivise, MLS, Europa League and International Football (did we miss any?!) then this is the place to go! However, they welcome all sport fans so head to their website to see when they’ll be screening the next NFL, NBA, Club and International Rugby, GAA, Pay Per View Boxing, UFC, Tennis and much much more.
If watching the footie on the screen isn’t enough, Six Yard Box are just one big football family who love to get involved in the game as well! Every Saturday morning, they will be playing football at Burgess Park at 10am. They provide the goalposts – you just need to come along with your football boots! All levels and ability welcome.
Now for the best bit – after the game, there will be a table waiting for you back at Six Yard Box for a pint and a catch up! Sounds like the perfect Saturday!
